More to cognos report. User will raise a case in TSG service now if they facing any problem in running the report. Our role is get the query of the report from dev and run the query in SQL developer to identified whether the issue occur in report level or in DB level. If it is from report level then need to find the solution by correcting the report query and if it from DB level, then we need to check which table is got issue and fix it. Sometimes we need to create indexes, truncate reload and code changes on query.
• NextGen
More to ETL (informatica) need to check session and workflow. There is load which is scheduled to run every day. Sometime it’s failed. Our job is to find out which session fail and why it’s failed. Once identified, we need to do necessary changes on the query and schedule the run for that particular session.
