Jean-Pierre COCHET is a key CNS/ATM equipment expert having specialised in particular in A-SMGCS and surveillance fields along his career. Back in the early 90’s, Jean-Pierre COCHET was the technical Project Manager of the first A-SMGCS development and implementation programs in AĆ©roports de Paris Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports. He is today a recognized European expert in the field of Surface Movement Surveillance systems such as SMR, MLAT, Vehicle Tracking, A-SMGCS central fusion and display systems, Foreign Object Detectors and Runway Incursion monitoring systems (including RWSL under testing in Paris). He has also developed along the years a strong expertise in ATM systems such as Electronic Strip systems, Flight Data Processing and Management systems, Arrival and Departure Managers.
Jean-Pierre COCHET’s experience encompasses all stages of CNS/ATM equipment deployment from feasibility studies and equipment design to tender preparation, evaluation of bidders’ proposals, supervision of installation, SAT and final commissioning. He has a very good knowledge of the applicable regulation in his fields of expertise and monitors/participates himself to the development of new concepts and standards as a member of EUROCAE and ICAS working groups
