Overview

Based in Singapore and in Melbourne, Frank’s career in the aviation industry spans over 2 decades. He brings with him strong business acumen, aviation industry expertise, experience working collaboratively with government officials and key stakeholders to develop solutions.

The first 17 years of Frank’s career were spent with Thales in the Air Traffic Management sector, where he held various technical and management roles in different locations before leading the business development activities of Thales in the Asia Pacific region.
He then joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to transform and to drive the global Air Traffic Management consulting business line.

In 2012, Frank took up a management position in Dubai where he was responsible for leading Serco Aviation’s growth in the Middle East region and in the ASPAC region. Under his tenure the Aviation business expanded on to new territories in Qatar and Oman; partnership with key customers in Dubai, Sharjah, Bahrain and Iraq were renewed and strengthened.

Frank is today the Managing Director of JSI Aviation Consulting – a boutique consulting firm established in Singapore since 2011. JSI Aviation Consulting is assisting airports, airlines, air navigation services providers and aviation-related MNCs to develop their strategies and supporting activities (Safety Management, Training, CNS/ATM Strategy, Change Management, etc.). JSI Aviation Consulting brings a global perspective to the projects it undertakes, and draws on its unique access to Air Transport Industry experts and other specialists.

Beside his technical knowledge and experience, Frank’s key strengths are: 

• Excellent communication and relationship skills, innovative thinker, strong leadership capabilities, cultivating “one direction” towards common business goals.
• Adapt to new businesses very quickly – managed to turn around businesses with innovation, focus & drive.
• Extensive regional and worldwide business management experience including P&L ownership, team recruitment and management, program development and implementation, business transformation and change management.
• Management of complex programs with clients and internally taking full ownership to achieve successful execution.
• Highly experienced in people management and mentoring of both direct and large virtual teams

From his extensive experience in Asia and in the Middle East, Frank developed a cultural fluency adapting his skills to the multiple cultures – each demanding different ways of communicating, doing business, demonstrating leadership.
